The Myoko Kogen Highlands is largely considered to be one of the finest ski destinations in Japan. It stretches out at the eastern foot of Mt. Myoko-san, which towers on the border of Nagano Prefecture in the southwestern part of Niigata Prefecture. With nine challenging ski grounds and relaxing hot springs scattered around the region, Myoko is a lovely place to spend a winter holiday in Japan.
