Incentive Travel & Meeting Executives (IT & ME) was held at the McCormick Place in Chicago from September 25th to 27th. IT & ME is the world’s largest incentive exhibition so that the visitors are from all over the US. Visit Japan Campaign and Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO) participated in the event and represented Japan with our partners, Grand Hyatt Tokyo, Hotel Granvia Kyoto, Japan Airlines, JTB USA, Inc., Kintetsu International Travel Consultants Company, Prince Hotels & Resorts, The Ryokan Collection, Royal Hotels, Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel, TTA Inc.We promoted Japan’s attractiveness as a business travel destination, hosting visitors in Japan booth. There is a benefit on this exhibition that we are able to expand MICE network with meeting planners who are interested in Japan but cannot often interacted with us. We successfully had meaningful meetings with 199 throughout three days.
Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO)/Yokoso Japan booth (Yokoso means Welcome)
In this year, our booth design was a beautiful and authentic-looking and the unique appearance attracted many visitors. We served sushi and sake for all guests in happy hour and found them appreciate Japanese food culture.
We also provided “Experience Japan” that is also distributed as a supplement for a September issued Meetings and Conventions magazine. “Experience Japan” is available on our website, www.JapanTravelinfo.com.
