The Sand Museum’s third exhibit “Around the World through Sand: Austria” is on its way!

Preparations for the opening of the exhibit which runs from September 18, 2009 to January 3, 2010 are being made and the molds for the sand structures are currently being constructed. The actual sculpture construction was set to begin on September 1st.  This exhibit will shine a spotlight on Austria’s aristocratic culture, which blossomed from the 16th to 18th centuries. It will also focus on the great musicians who made that prosperous era their stage. Austria’s World Heritage-recognized architectural sites and prominent composers like Hayden and Mozart will be recreated with sand sculptures. In the evenings, the scene will be illuminated to create a mystic sandscape.

Please stay tuned for updates on the exhibit!
