Hakone Ropeway’s Guinness World Record and Odakyu Winter Campaign!

An aerial walk through a majestic landscape on the world's top ropeway service—Hakone Ropeway, Inc.—the ropeway service of the Odakyu Group operating in Hakone (head office: Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture; president: Yasuhiro Saito)—proudly announces that on July 9, 2009, it received Guinness World Record (TM) certification by the Guinness World Records Ltd., for being the “busiest gondola lift" for the largest number of paid passengers (2,010,059 persons) in FY2008 (accounting year).

There are many attractions and special offers in Hakone Enoshima, Kamakura, and Ito areas provided by Odakyu to welcome visitors taking advantage of the Chinese New Year holiday to visit Japan.

A variety of special events enjoyable for all have been planned especially for this time of year as a Winter Campaign. Have an enjoyable trip to these four areas aboard the Odakyu Romancecar!
