Temporary Closure of the Tuna Auction Visitors Area at Tsukiji Market

The Tuna Auction Visitors Area at Tsukiji Market will be temporarily closed according to the details outlined below.

From Thursday, April 8 to Saturday, May 8, 2010.
(Wednesday, April 7, 2010, is a regular day off at the market, so tours will not be possible on that day. Tours will re-commence from Monday, May 10, 2010).
Entry into the entire Tuna Auction Visitors area will be forbidden, however entry will remain possible into the Intermediate Wholesale Area and Traders of Market-Related Goods Area (containing such facilities as restaurants). However, to ensure there are no hindrances to market business, we request that groups made up of large numbers of people continue to refrain from visiting the market, as they are doing at the moment.
