�The World Samurai Summit� -Warrior Cosplayers from all over Japan Gather in the Samurai Mecca, Nagoya-

July 31 (Sat) – August 1 (Sun) 2010
Simultaneously taking place with “The World Cosplay Summit 2010”!!

“The World Samurai Summit” will take place in Nagoya from July 31 (Sat) to August 1 (Sun), 2010.
This event is a spinoff of “the World Cosplay Summit*¹”, which has been an annual event since 2003. “Warlords”, “samurai”, and “ninja” (so-called “Nama-kyara] *²” in Japanese) from all over Japan will be gathering in Nagoya, Tokai district, where there are numerous historic castles, battlefields and places deeply related to Japanese warlords, to show the world what “Samurai Spirit” is. This event hopes to foster international relationships between Japan and other countries, as well as improve Japan’s current economic situation.

* ¹ The World Cosplay Summit: An event in Nagoya where cosplayers from 15 different countries, representing characters of Japanese manga and anime, participate.

* ² Nama-kyara: (生キャラ- Real life character) Japanese slang referring to people who play, in costume, the character of real people from the past or present.
