Tokyo - Shin-Aomori in as little as 3 hours 20 minutes*! Discover a Japan you didn't know.

All lines of the Tohoku Shinkansen will open on December 4, 2010. You will be able to go direct from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori in as little as 3 hours and 20 minutes. New stations to be added are Shichinohe-Towada Station and Shin-Aomori Station. This will naturally make access to Aomori more convenient, and also it will become easier to visit Hirosaki and Lake Towada. Why not search for the charms of a Japan you have yet to see in the northernmost part of Honshu: the Aomori area?
For travel to the fascinating Aomori region, it is recommended that visitors purchase a
JR East Pass - a flexible rail pass valid for travel on all JR East lines.
