Starting April 2013, Princess Cruises' Sun Princess, a luxury cruise ship with over 2,000 passenger capacity will begin offering cruises from two homeports in Japan: Yokohama and Kobe. Due to Japan's rising interesting in cruise vacations, Sun Princess will be joined in 2014 by another cruise ship, the Diamond Princess, with a passenger capacity of over 2,600. Both ships will offer forty two departures and nine different itineraries of seven to nine days, and will visit more than twenty ports in South Korea, Taiwan, Russian and Japan.
While both ships offer the outstanding and exemplary service Princess Cruises is known for, the Japanese cruise programs will also include Japanese food selections, a traditional kagamiwari ceremony during the captain's welcome, and other special amenities.
These two ships offer a significant expansion of exciting vacation opportunities for both international visitors to Japan and locals alike. All aboard!
