Sky Duck Tokyo

Now a new way to enjoy Tokyo sightseeing by road and river! The Sky Duck, an amphibious tourist bus launched by the Hinomaru Limousine Group, operates both on land and water, and it is coming to Tokyo on March 17th, 2013. Similar vehicles are already operating in some other areas of Japan, and they've proven to be a big hit!

Two sightseeing routes in Tokyo will be available. The first is the Tokyo Sky Tree Course, starting March 17th. It originates at the Tokyo Sky Tree and takes passengers to the Kameido area, a location well known for its rows of post-war era homes and stores and popular ramen and gyoza restaurants. It will then enter the Nakagawa River. The tour is a little over 1 ½ hours. Cost is 2,800 yen for adults and 1,400 yen for children. 4 buses leave the Tokyo Sky Tree daily. Maximum capacity is approximately 40 people.

The second route, called the Kameido Course, begins at the newly built Kameido Umeyashiki, a beautiful mansion built in the style of wealthy Tokyo-ites' second homes in the Edo era. The bus will then continue on to the Nakagawa River. Total travelling time is a little over one hour. Cost is 2,500 yen for adults and 1,200 for children. 5 buses leaved Kameido Umeyashiki daily. Maximum capacity is approximately 40 people.

Both tours offer the sights of Tokyo, the city and its waterways and surroundings, in a new and unique way!
