The Tokyo Museum Pass - GRUTT PASS 2007 On Sale Through January 31, 2008 Usable Through March 31, 2008!

New York, NY … October 1, 2007 – The Tokyo Museum Pass or Grutt Pass 2007 is a value-priced admission ticket booklet to 56 museums, parks, zoos and aquarium in Tokyo.  The pass is on sale now through January 31, 2008 and is valid for up to two full months from your first museum visit until March 31, 2008.

The pass, which costs 2,000 yen in Japan, can be purchased right at the participating institutions or at the Tokyo Tourist Information Center in Shinjuku (See address and contact info at: http://www.tourism.metro.tokyo.jp/english/public/center.html). It is also available at Tokyo convenience stores, such as 7-Eleven, Lawsons, and Family Mart and designated Japan-based travel agents, such as JTB and Kinki-Nippon Tourist as well as ticketing agencies.

In the US, individual travelers can order the GRUTT Pass if they have a minimum of 5-7 days prior to departure. The cost is $20 plus shipping and handling from Kintetsu International Travel Consultants in New York (http://www.kintetsu.com/museums/) or IACE Travel in Los Angeles (http://www.iace-asia.com). All major credit cards accepted.  Special discounts may be available for groups.  Other US-based Japanese travel agencies, such as NTA America (http://www.japanvacation.net) and JalPak (http://www.jalpak.com/) may also be able to arrange the passes in advance of departure for groups. JalPak will also sell GRUTT passes to individuals but only in conjunction with other services.

The GRUTT pass is valid for only one visit per facility and is nonrefundable after purchase.
