Visit Japan Runs in Daytona!

New York City, New York – January 29, 2009  Japan’s official tourism campaign “Visit Japan” debuts in NASCAR, one of the five largest sports events in the United States.  In collaboration with the Visit Japan Campaign, an experienced Japanese race car driver Shigeaki Hattori forms the team Hattori Racing Enterprises (HRE) with a rookie driver Michael Annett for the opening race of 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series of NASCAR.  Their team car, a Toyota Camry with Toyota TRD engine, carries Visit Japan’s campaign graphics in NASCAR’s Lucas Oil Slik Mist 200 race at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida, NASCAR’s birth place.  Hajime Tsutsui, an emerging Japanese textile designer decorates the car body with the Visit Japan Campaign logo and other Japanese elements.  This Car 01 Yokoso! Japan TOYOTA will be running in the race on February 5, 6, and 7.
