 New York City, New York – September 28, 2009.  In spite of global recession that seems to shadow international tourism, Japan is becoming more colorful with varieties of new properties.

 
HOSHINOYA Kyoto (December 12, 2009)

Sankara Hotel & Spa Yakushima (March 2010)
Japan’s World Natural Heritage Site Yakushima Island celebrates the new resort hotel. Akihabara Washington Hotel (Spring 2010)
One of the major chain hotels is renewing its Akihabara property, the ground zero of Japan’s anime pop culture.  Focusing on modern utilities for digital oriented travelers, the amenity includes internet connection, business center and exclusive women only floor.  The new property occupies from the third to the 13th floor in a 14-story brand-new building.

 
Westin Sendai (August 1, 2010)

St. Regis Osaka (October 1, 2010)
